Mission Statement:

The Dividing Line Broadcast Network is an Internet radio station and virtual community dedicated to providing music fans with an online experience that is second to none when it comes to entertainment and information programs in the Progressive Rock genre, in a safe and relaxed environment.

About The Dividing Line:

The Dividing Line Broadcast Network (or DLBN for short) is an Internet Radio Station. We specialize in the Progressive Rock music genre. One thing that separates us from most other Prog Internet radio stations is that we feature live shows  with real DJs every day of the week. Each show is a little different than the others, largely due to the personality of the host and the artists he/she features.

A very important part of the experience is the chat room. When you join chat during a live show you will find the show host and other prog fans there discussing the music and anything else that comes up. This is one way you can learn more about the artists and music you hear on The Dividing Line. Many friendships (and even some marriages) have resulted from people meeting in our chat room. Under "Communicate" in the main menu above you will see many other ways to keep in touch and in the know.

Of course, it's all about the music. We pride ourselves on using the best technology available deliver the music to you. Much of it is customized or built from the ground up by our own team. You can listen with our built-in player or your own MP3 compliant player. Some of our older event archives are available only in their original format, including OGG Vorbis and Real Audio formats.

DLBN originates from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Our server is in Montreal.

The people responsible for station operations are:

In short, The Dividing Line is now recognized as one of the leading independent Progressive Rock Internet radio stations. But our expenses grow in proportion with our popularity, so the generous support of our listeners is deeply appreciated.
